High School diploma and an accumulation of credit towards an Associate degree via concurrent enrollment in community college.

Parents Participation

• Willing to participate in your youth's education
• Pay for books and supplies and a fee to Silicon Valley Academy for program administration
• Pay for elective classes in the community college
• Transportation to and from classes' locations attendance and for Community Service

Student Participation

• Take Silicon Valley Academy assessment to see if student is ready for college
• Take the college placement test for Language Arts and Mathematics for exact class placement
• Attend classes each semester at the community college and maintain an acceptable GPA
• Attend classes each semester to complete high school credit
• Attend classes each semester in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies

Support from Silicon Valley Academy

• Coordinator to personally support each student according to a schedule of office hours
• Pre assessment to determine eligibility for college enrollment
• Individual plan for each student as to courses needed to meet requirements for high school and for credit toward an Associate degree at the community college
• Pre and post registration counseling
• Summer institute first year for orientation and skills needed skills for academic success
• Weekly one hour session with each student (not academic tutoring)
• Weekly one hour small group interaction with other SVA high school students
• Community Service coordination
• Transcript & records preparation and program administration and coordination

Other supports

• Parent organized and conducted carpooling
• Parent group support for accessing community resources for additional class credit
